About Spector Lures

Spector Lures was built on a simple idea: make fishing lures the right way, stand behind them, and treat customers the way I'd want to be treated.

I'm a U.S. military veteran, an oilfield roughneck, and a lifelong fisherman. Fishing has always been more than a hobby for me—it's a way to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the outdoors after long days at work. What started as a curiosity about how fishing lures were made eventually turned into a passion for designing and building my own.

Every lure begins with an idea and a block of wood. I hand-carve the original masters, build my own silicone molds, and cast each bait using a resin and glass microsphere blend. From sanding and painting to hardware installation and final tuning, every step is done by hand. These aren't factory-produced baits—they're handcrafted one at a time.

Many of my lures are built while I'm working away from home in the oilfield. Long shifts and demanding work have taught me the value of doing things right the first time, paying attention to details, and standing behind your work. Those same principles go into every lure that carries the Spector Lures name.

Before a lure ever reaches a customer's tackle box, it's individually inspected and swim-tested to ensure it performs the way it was designed. If a bait doesn't meet my standards, it doesn't leave the shop.

I believe that when someone spends their hard-earned money on a handmade lure, they're not just buying a fishing bait—they're placing their trust in the person who built it.
